A new trailer for Warcraft, this summer's fantasy film based on Blizzard Entertainment's game franchise, has been published. Initially released last night during the Halo World Championship, the video is the latest TV spot for the film, containing some footage seen in previous videos but also new scenes.

Check it out:

The trailer sheds some light on the movie's narrative, which tells the story of the war between Humans and Orcs. There will also be a romantic angle, it seems, between Paula Patton's character Garona and a human.

"The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another," reads a line from the film's official plot description. "As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home."

Vikings star Travis Fimmel plays human leader Anduin Lothar, while Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Toby Kebell is cast as Durotan the Orc in a CG role. The movie also features Preacher's Dominic Cooper as King Llane and Clancy Brown (Spongebob Squarepants, The Shawshank Redemption) as Blackhand.

The movie opens on June 10. Director Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) has said he has ideas to expand the franchise with two further movies to form a trilogy.
