Watch Stranger Things Star Sing the National Anthem
Gaten Matarazzo and his older sister sang the anthem at a 2015 MLB game and earned a strong applause.
Before he was on Netflix's Stranger Things, actor Gaten Matarazzo sang the national anthem at a New York Mets game at Citi Field in 2015. A video of his performance was recently highlighted by the New York Post, in which Matarazzo belts out the song alongside his older sister, Sabrina.
As you can see in the video below, the Matarazzo siblings killed it, earning a rousing applause from the crowd. They apparently auditioned for the job by covering Pink's "F**in Perfect."
Gaten Matarazzo, 13, plays Dustin on Stranger Things. He is a quirky and intelligent character who is basically the glue that holds the main cast together. Before appearing on the sci-fi Netflix show, he was seen in Broadway performances of Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Les Miserables (via EW).
The first season of Stranger Things debuted in July, earning a positive critical reception and apparently strong ratings. Netflix announced just today that a second season, which will be "weirder and darker," is scheduled to come out in 2017. That's good news for fans, as Season 1 ended on a number of cliffhangers.
