Watch Suicide Squad's Latest TV Spots
Worst heroes ever.
Everyone loves a good villain, and this year's Suicide Squad will deliver a movie full of them. The third film in DC's cinematic universe arrives in August, and a new TV spot has been released. Check it out below:
This follows an international promo that was released last week:
Suicide Squad tells the story of a group of death row supervillains who are employed covertly by the US government to perform dangerous missions, in return for reduced prison sentences.
In a recent interview with EW, director David Ayer spoke about Jared Leto's portrayal of the legendary Joker in the movie. "It really made an event when he would show up on set," he said. "There was almost a pageantry to him, which did translate into the power on screen he has. The hairs stand up on the back of your neck.
"If you're a Batman fan, you have to love/hate the Joker because he's the best nemesis ever. Just to have him on one of my film sets, it was a very memorable thing for me."
Last year co-star Will Smith revealed that Leto didn't break character throughout the entire time the movie was in production. "We worked together for six months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!'," he said. "I literally have not met [Leto] yet. He was all-in on the Joker."
Suicide Squad is due for release on August 5, 2016, and also stars Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, and Jai Courtney.
