Watch Supergirl and The Flash Speed Through Trailer for Crossover Episode

While DC's cinematic adventures kick off again this week with the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, on the small screen the company's shows continue to thrive. The recent Legends of Tomorrow saw characters from both The Flash and Arrow appear together, and soon The Flash himself will be making an appearance in Supergirl. A trailer for this much-anticipated team-up episode has now been released--check it out below:

The episode is titled "World's Finest", and will be broadcast on CBS on Monday, March 28. The official synopsis reads:

Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.

The first season of Supergirl debuted in October last year to impressive viewing figures, setting a record for the highest viewers of any single episode of a superhero show. It stars Melissa Benoist as superpowered Kara Danvers, alongside Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood, and Helen Slater, who played Supergirl in the 1984 film version.

Season two of The Flash is currently screening on The CW. The show was itself a spinoff from Arrow, with star Grant Gustin first portraying fast-footed Barry Allen in the second season of the Green Arrow show. The popularity of these appearances led executives to commission a standalone Flash series, with the 2014 pilot becoming the second highest premiere in the channel's history.
