Watch the First Trailer for Harry Potter Spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them
"A case full of magical creatures."
The Harry Potter series may have come to an end, but we haven't seen the last of the JK Rowling's world of wizards and magic. The first spinoff from the Potter movies will be Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, which comes to cinemas in November next year. The first trailer has been released--check it out here:
The movie stars Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, a "magizoologist" who embarks upon an adventure to find and document magical creatures in 1920s New York.
The film has been adapted by JK Rowling from her own 2001 novella, which is set some 70 years before the events of the Harry Potter stories. David Yates, who made the last four Potter movies, is directing, and Redmayne's co-stars include Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, and Samantha Morton.
In October, Redmayne maybe spoke to ComingSoon.net about working with Yates. "He's wonderful," he said. "Even though there's a scale to these films that could be intimidating, he has such a kindness but an absolutely brilliance that it feels very intimate, and he's got such a wonderful, eclectic cast. Hopefully, it will be good."
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is set to hit cinemas on November 18, 2016.
