We Check Out the Worm Light

Nyko has an interesting gadget for your Game Boy Color - a nifty, light peripheral that is the ideal solution for long road trips.

Nyko stopped by the videogames.com offices today to show off the latest and greatest products from peripheral land. One of the coolest gadgets that the company brought by was the Worm Light, a light unit that attaches to the Game Boy Color. However, unlike previous GB lights, this one rises up and over the GBC to offer flexibility.

Using a white LED light source, the Worm Light never requires replacement, since it has no lightbulb. Also, since it plugs into the Game Boy Color or Game Boy Pocket's external port it doesn't require batteries, and according to Nyko, the amount of power it uses is extremely miniscule.

Priced at US$9.95, the Worm Light comes in an assortment of colors. The peripheral should be on store shelves now, but it may be hard to find, according to Nyko. The company already has 100,000 units on back order.
