Staff Fingerprints

GameSpot staff did tons of mingling in the comments and on Twitter during the San Diego Comic-Con this year, but let’s catch up with other areas, such as Mark Walton’s blog about IndySpot and Brendan Sinclair’s request for help in Starcraft II.

Tip of the Week

This week’s tip is about using the term Japan or Japanese properly when you’d like to shorten it. If you do a search online, you’ll notice that just having the term "Jap" is considered an offensive usage. Many of you do not realize that and will use this term to describe a Japanese game or a game created by a developer or publisher in Japan. If you’d like to use a short version of Japan or Japanese, the proper usage is "JPN." While the staff and moderators understand if you mistakenly use this term, it’s best to avoid using it. So please do take the time to type out the entire word or use JPN for short.

That’s all for this week’s report. We’ll see you next week!
