What's New and Improved in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
Here's what's been confirmed for the new Dragon Ball game.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a direct sequel to the highest-selling Dragon Ball game ever, 2015's Dragon Ball Xenoverse. Developer Dimps has returned for Xenoverse 2, and has announced a host of new features for the sequel. GameSpot attended a presentation that revealed some of what's new in the game; check out our roundup right here.
Release Date
Xenoverse 2 will be launching this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam). Unlike the previous game, it will not be launching for PS3 or Xbox 360.
Avatar Customization System
The character customization system from the first game will return with more choices. The race chosen for the player's character will determine what locations you'll be able to visit. For example, Namekians can access secret places on Namek that other races can't. There will also be race-specific rewards in the game.
Larger Hub City
The new player hub city will be seven times bigger than that of the previous game. It will support up to 300 players simultaneously, and everyone will be able to fly.
New Transportation System
For the first time, players will be able to speed around on a hovering machine. It's not known if this will be faster than flying.

New Characters Confirmed
So far, Turles (the antagonist in the Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might movie) and Future Gohan have been confirmed as new additions to the cast.
Better Framerate and Camera
Xenoverse 2 will run at 60 FPS, double that of the first Xenoverse game. Bandai Namco has also confirmed that the game will feature a "dynamic camera" which will be able to better track movement during fights.
Combat Changes
Ki blasts in fights will now curve in the air as they fly towards an opponent. Dashing towards enemies has been improved with the introduction of a Homing Dash and an Aura Burst Dash. Homing Dash closes in on opponents more quickly, while Aura Burst Dash enables the user to dodge attacks while homing in on an enemy.
Post-Launch Support Confirmed
Publisher Bandai Namco has confirmed that Xenoverse 2 will receive support after its release, but didn't specify what form it will take.
