What's New To Disney+ In July? Hamilton And Solo Arrive

There is something really exciting headed to Disney+ in July. The hit Broadway play Hamilton arrives in July. However, that's not all that's coming to the streaming service. Another Star Wars movie arrives as well.

The solo Han Solo movie aptly titled Solo: A Star Wars Story arrives on July 10. The film follows the early days of everyone's favorite smuggler as he joins the Empire, meets Lando Calrissian, and accidentally funds the beginning of the Rebel Alliance.

As previously mentioned, Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical Hamilton lands on July 3. Originally, this was going to release in theaters in October 2021; however, the filmed play was moved forward more than a year in order to land on Disney+ while many Americans continue to shelter in place. Hamilton is a biography of Alexander Hamilton, a founding father of the United States. The play is set to hip-hop and R&B music, and it debuted in 2015. The Disney+ version features the original cast of the musical.
