What's New To Netflix In December 2019? Movies, TV Shows, And Originals

December is a big month for Netflix original series. In addition to the movies and TV shows arriving on the service for the final month of 2019, there is a ton of original programming headed your way as well. Below, you can find a full list of what's coming to and leaving Netflix this December along with a few of our recommendations.

Are you really excited to see Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker but hate crowded theaters? Luckily, you have something else to do that day instead, and that's watch the Netflix original series The Witcher. Geralt of Rivia will appear in live-action for the new series as he hunts down treacherous monsters and deals with magical forces. You can hunker down in your favorite chair and binge-watch it all on December 20.

There is another big Netflix original headed to the service on December 24. You can spend your Christmas Eve watching Season 2 of Lost in Space. A trailer for the new season was released last month, and the Robinson family is on the search for their lost robot. The first season of the show was an excellent reboot to the sometimes campy sci-fi series from 1965, and you can watch Season 1 right now.

As far as movies go, there are a few you may want to watch once again headed to the service this month. Remember when everyone would yell "Yeah baby!" all the time? Well, now you can experience that moment in American culture all over again, when all three Austin Powers movies arrive on Netflix on December 1. If you're into something a little more horrific, then you may want to watch It Comes At Night when it arrives on December 9. The movie takes place after an apocalypse where strangers must hide together from a mysterious force that comes for them... at night.
