Washington-based game developer WildTangent has announced the release of Betty Bad, its latest arcade-style online action game. The game was created by Paul Steed, who is best known for his work on Quake II and Quake III Arena. Players assume the role of Betty Bad, a bounty hunter on a mission to destroy a group of insectlike aliens that have infested a mining colony on a remote asteroid. Betty Bad is armed with a unigun that features five different firing modes.

Betty Bad is built on WildTangent's proprietary Web driver, and it is now available through a variety of distribution partners. For more information, visit the official Betty Bad Web site.
