Will Smith is "Definitely Doing" Bad Boys 3
"In that moment, we knew we were making another Bad Boys."
Before the release of Bad Boys in 1995, Will Smith was best known for music career and TV work. The Michael Bay-directed action thriller turned Smith into a movie star, and its 2003 sequel Bad Boys 2 was also a big hit. A third film has been on Sony's schedule since last year, and now both Smith and director Joe Carnahan have hinted strongly at their involvement.

In an interview with BBC Radio One this week, Smith mentioned that he had recently seen his Bad Boys co-star Martin Lawrence. "I saw Martin a few weeks ago," he said, via Complex. "I haven’t seen him for about two years. We just looked at each other. We hugged. In that moment, we knew we were making another Bad Boys. We’re definitely doing another one."
A-Team director Carnahan has been rumoured to be in line to helm the film for a few months, and yesterday he tweeted some pre-visualisation artwork that seemed to confirm this:

Bad Boys 3 currently has a release date of February 17, 2017, with a fourth movie pencilled in for July 3, 2019.
