Will you pay $10 to play Far Cry again?
Far Cry Classic will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 on February 11 in the United States for $10.
Ubisoft announced today that Far Cry Classic, an updated version of Crytek's 2004 PC game, is coming to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network on February 11 in the United States for $10. It will be available in Europe on February 14 as part of the Far Cry: Wild Expedition bundle.
Far Cry Classic promises "graphical enhancements," as well as revamped cut-scenes, and a new user interface. In case you forgot, the original Far Cry casts you as ship captain Jack Carver, who becomes trapped on a remote tropical island and is hunted down by a squad of highly trained mercenaries.
Ubisoft released two images to go along with the announcement. How do you think the game holds up, almost 10 years later?
Next up in the Far Cry series is the long-rumored Far Cry 4, which Ubisoft told GameSpot last summer is pretty much a sure thing given the success of Far Cry 3.
