Get Your Claws On This Deal For The Discontinued X-Men '97 Lego Set Before It's Gone
The Marvel Lego set is one of several kits that will be retiring soon.
Believe it or not, Lego sets do have a limited shelf life, and one of the more popular Marvel kits will be retired soon. The Wolverine's Adamantium Claws set has been fairly popular--helped in no small part by the excellent X-Men '97 animated series and a new Deadpool movie this year--and this replica of the famed X-Man's signature claws will be discontinued soon. In case you'd like to grab a box before Lego retires this collectible, you can grab it for $56 from Target, and in case it sells out, the Lego Store has it for its regular price of $70. Once it's gone, expect the price on this one to soar on the reseller market.

This display piece is roughly 600 pieces and is based on Wolverine's animated incarnation. The clawed glove features 3 posable claws, movable fingers, and a sturdy stand with a descriptive panel. The completed model measures over 14.5 inches high, 5.5 inches wide, and 3.5 inches deep, so it's a large collectible.
If you want to pair it with another attention-grabbing Lego piece, the Lego X-Mansion launched earlier this month. This is a hefty weekend build, but once complete, it's a colorful diorama that shows off the iconic headquarters of the X-Men, includes several of them as minifigures, and even has a massive Sentinel robot for the team to battle.
As mentioned above, this Wolverine collectible will be retired soon, and it's not the only Lego set about to be sunsetted. While most of these are still being sold for their regular retail price, you can pick up a few bargains here, especially if you're a Nintendo fan. Diddy Kong's Mine Cart expansion is currently being sold for $88 (was $110), and Princess Peach's Castle expansion set has been discounted to $104 (was $130). There's even a cool Avengers: Endgame set on sale for $70, a nice 30% discount in this last-chance collection of Lego.
