That's one big cat.
The details about Wonder Woman 2, which is a little over a year-and-a-half from debuting, are starting to come together. After it was reported that Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig was in talks to play the next movie's villain, her casting is now confirmed.
Patty Jenkins, who directed 2017's Wonder Woman and will return for the sequel, used Twitter to let the world know she's found her Cheetah. "So excited to confirm the most thrilling news. Yes! It's true! So incredibly lucky to welcome the sensationally talented Kristen Wiig to our Wonder Woman family," she writes. "Can't wait to finally work with one of my favorites. And SO excited by what we have planned. #Cheetah!!!"

In the comics, the character is an archaeologist that also happens to have the ability to transform into a human-cheetah hybrid, which brings with it some pretty nasty powers--speed, strength, and agility. She first appeared in Wonder Woman #6, which was published in 1943, and has remained one of Diana's biggest adversaries.
Naturally, Gal Gadot will be joining Wiig for the sequel, reprising her role as Wonder Woman. The first film ended up with a massive $821 million haul at the worldwide box office, topping every other film in the DC Extended Universe, save for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Wonder Woman 2, complete with Wiig as Cheetah, will arrive in theaters on November 1, 2019.
