Wrestlemania: Braun Strowman Tag Team Partner's Identity Revealed - Report
The monster among little kids.
One of the most exciting highlights of Wrestlemania 34 was the reveal of Braun Strowman's tag team partner. After teasing that he could win the match himself, real-life Looney Tunes character Strowman picked a child from the Wrestlemania audience named Nicholas to stand in as his partner. In the end, the duo was able to win the match and claim the Tag Team Championships from The Bar.
Was Nicholas just some lucky kid plucked out of the crowd, though? The answer is no. While Nicholas is a child with no formal wrestling training, he does have a connection to WWE. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Nicholas is the son of WWE referee John Cone. The ref even posed for a photo with his son and Strowman backstage after the match.
It remains to be seen how the situation regarding the Tag Team Championships will be handled, but chances are that question will be answered on Raw. That said, it certainly made for a fun match at Wrestlemania that Strowman's fellow wrestlers enjoyed just as much as those sitting in the audience. Here's what Sheamus, Scott Hall, the Young Bucks, and more had to say about the match and its winner.
