WrestleMania XXI slammed back to April
THQ's game with sweaty men in tights gets delayed from its initial March release to April 18.
It looks like wrestling aficionados won't need to get their leotards and capes pressed just yet. THQ's WWE WrestleMania XXI won't be stepping into the ring next week as originally planned. Online retailer EBgames.com lists the Xbox-only grappler as releasing on April 18. Representatives from THQ were unavailable for comment as of press time.
WrestleMania XXI, which is being developed by Chicago-based Studio Gigante, features a roster of 47 wrestlers, including Triple H, The Undertaker, and unlockable legends such as Jimmy "Super Fly" Snuka and The Rock.
The game will also have an extensive career mode, complete with a create-a-wrestler feature. For those who like to talk trash with an animate entity, the game will have all the requisite multiplayer games and Xbox Live support.
WWE WrestleMania XXI is rated T for Teen and will sell for $49.99. For more information on the game, jump off the top turnbuckle and into GameSpot's previous coverage.
