WWE 2K17 Roster Picks Announced With Artist's Painting
Unsurprisingly, John Cena will be in the next WWE video game.
Three members of the upcoming WWE 2K17's roster were announced at E3, but it wasn't during a press conference or livestream like many others. Instead, an artist painted portraits of John Cena, Ultimate Warrior, and "Legit Boss" Sasha Banks.
It's no surprise that any of these superstars made it into this year's roster. Cena is WWE's marquee superstar, Warrior is one of the company's most respected wrestlers ever, and Banks is a top women's competitor. However, the painting itself is quite nice, and it was definitely worth announcing them in this way. Check it out for yourself in an image sent by 2K below.

Artist Rob Schamberger is responsible for the painting, and this isn't the first time he's created artwork of WWE's superstars. Schamberger is well known for his WWE artwork that's helped raise money for charities and is available to purchase as prints and t-shirts on the WWE Shop. One particularly excellent painting is the one he did of the New Day--you can see it at the bottom of this article.
WWE 2K17 was announced with a trailer that confirmed Goldberg as the wrestling game's cover star. Two versions of Goldberg will be available as playable characters to anyone who preorders the game--you'll also get two WCW arenas if you throw down money before launch.
This wasn't the only 2K game that had some kind of presence at E3. You can check out news and videos of Mafia III and Sid Meier's Civilization VI through the links below.
