WWE's Comic-Con Action Figures, The Creator Of Headlocked Comics, And More | Wrestle Buddies Episode 12
This week, we look at the best San Diego Comic-Con exclusives WWE and Mattel have cooked up, spend some time in the kitchen with the WWE cookbook, and talk to Mike Kingston, creator of Headlocked Comics.
This week on Wrestle Buddies, GameSpot's professional wrestling podcast, Chris E. Hayner and Mat Elfring are diving into a big list of topics and celebrating San Diego Comic-Con at home. How are they doing that? We're glad you asked.
First up, Chris and Mat are looking back at Mattel's San Diego Comic-Con exclusive WWE action figures. For years, Mattel has created some truly awesome WWE Elite figures that you can only buy at Comic-Con, from The Shockmaster to this year's Mr. T toy. They are all things of beauty and we'd like to collect each of them.

Next, the Wrestle Buddies' personal chef, Mat, is taking listeners on a culinary tour of the official WWE cookbook. Unlike WWF New York, WWE's cookbook is filled with wrestling puns and themed food items. From Big Boss Man doughnuts that may or may not include Al Snow's dog as an ingredient to an Irish whiskey drink themed to Becky Lynch, WWE's cookbook is a winner and Mat's going to make you hungry.
Lastly, this week we welcome Mike Kingston, creator of the Headlocked Comics series, which is about pro wrestling. Kingston discusses the latest run of Headlocked, Tales from the Road. He's partnered with a wide range of wrestlers to create original stories. Among those included in Tales from the Road are noted vampire warrior professional wrestler Gangrel and WWE's Mustafa Ali. Mike's gotten to know a long list of wrestlers while making his Headlocked issues and also tells us about working closely with Jerry "The King" Lawler, who provides art for the comics.
All of that plus we answer your questions! New episodes of Wrestle Buddies are released every Thursday on the podcast platform or app of your choice, including Spotify, Stitcher, and Apple Podcasts.
