The Xbox is coming up on its 20th anniversary, and to celebrate the occasion, Microsoft is airing a special celebration broadcast today. Now we know all about how and when to watch, as well as what to expect, and we're rounding up all the key details here in one place.

How To Watch The Xbox Anniversary Celebration

The Xbox Anniversary Celebration, as it's officially called, is airing today, November 15--which is 20 years to the day after the original Xbox and Halo: Combat Evolved released in 2001. The game would go on to define the system, arguably ensuring the Xbox brand survived to this day.

Now Playing: Xbox 20th Anniversary Celebration Livestream

The broadcast will air on the official Xbox channels on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, and you'll be able to watch the event right here on GameSpot. Subtitles will be available in many different languages. Additionally, the broadcast will be available with American Sign Language (ASL) and Audio Descriptions (AD) in English on the Xbox YouTube channel.

Start Time

The showcase begins at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT.

What To Expect

In terms of what the broadcast will bring, Microsoft said it will serve as a celebration of "some of our favorite moments from the past 20 years of Xbox." There will not be any game announcements, but as for specifics about what will be there, well, Microsoft has not said yet.

More Celebrations

Microsoft will add more Xbox items to the Xbox Gear store on November 15 that aim to celebrate "all things Xbox," though Microsoft did not say what they might be.

What's more, Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate membership badges, which are displayed on Xbox profile pages, are getting updated for the 20th anniversary. "The old badges which showcase how long you have been a member of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold will be replaced with a colorful new badge," Microsoft said. These badges, samples of which you can see below, will start to arrive beginning next week after of the event.

Additionally, Microsoft is releasing a special-edition Xbox controller and headset themed around 20 years of Xbox, while there is a new Halo-branded Xbox Series X console on the way.

Outside of the anniversary, Microsoft has a new piece of hardware coming this year--a mini-fridge. The Xbox mini-fridge, which plays off the joke that the Series X looks like a refrigerator, launches this year for $100. Preorders opened on October 19. At least one of our writers ordered one.

I will be REALLY disappointed if they don't reveal any new XBOG & XB360 backwards compatible to be added to the digital stores. I think this is the very least they could have done to celebrate! There are so many great titles that have not come back yet..... Gunvalkyrie, MechAssault 1 & 2...just to name a few.

@thecupidstunts: Yea, I was on it day 1 & super excited. Cannot believe I got Gunvalkyrie, FEAR, Ridge Racer 6, & Binary Domain.....I LOVE those!

I never thought they would be brought back again. GOD bless the X BOX!

Maybe MechAssault 1-2 as a remaster then. Would love Terminator Salvation & Aliens Colonial Marines (fix), but now we are getting into impossible territory & too bad they closed it down :(.
