Screamride, the upcoming Xbox exclusive thrill ride game from Frontier Developments and Microsoft Studios, will be released across Xbox One and Xbox 360 in March 2015, the companies announced.
Originally revealed during Gamescom in August, Screamride is aiming to push the coaster series forward. Microsoft says in an Xbox Wire blog post that Screamride "reinvents the rollercoaster genre with action and over-the-top destruction as never seen before."
Screamride comes with more than 50 levels, and three gameplay modes: Engineer, Screamrider, and Demolition Expert (see them in action through the video above). Xbox One users can share their levels (not available on Xbox 360), while both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of Screamride will support leaderboards.
Set to launch March 3 at stores and digitally in North and South America, Screamride will come to Asia on March 5 and launch in Europe on March 6. The game will cost $40 on Xbox One and $30 on Xbox 360.
Frontier Developments is well-versed in roller coaster games, as the studio also created theThrillville series and worked on various installments in the Roller Coaster Tycoon franchise. In addition, the studio made Coaster Crazy Deluxe for Wii U.
