Xbox Exec Provides Update on E3 2016 Planning
"#TEAMXBOX"
With E3 2016 now only 11 weeks away, platform-holder Microsoft's planning efforts for the show are ramping up. Xbox executive Phil Spencer shared a message on Twitter recently in which he says a recent "review" of the company's plans for this year's show went well.
"Great E3 review today," he said. "Teams did a great job highlighting what they have coming. Inspiring team #TEAMXBOX."

Microsoft has yet to officially announce a briefing for E3 2016, though if history is any indication, fans can expect Microsoft to get things started on the Monday morning of E3 week.
We don't know much yet about what Microsoft may talk about or show at its briefing. Updates on existing games, announcements of new ones, and some surprises are expected. One thing we do know is that Microsoft plans to talk more about the "next Forza game" during its show.
Given his recent comments on the subject, plenty of people on Twitter asked Spencer about a possible Xbox One hardware revision being announced at the show. So far, Spencer hasn't weighed in, and we wouldn't really expect him to.
Microsoft's E3 2015 briefing was stuffed with news and reveals. Among the games announced were Halo Wars 2, Forza 6, Recore, Sea of Thieves, and Gears of War 4. It was also during the show that Microsoft announced Xbox One backwards compatibility support to much applause.
