Xbox Game Pass Adds Eight More Games On Xbox One And PC

They'll be added in late February.

Some new games are coming to Xbox's all-you-can-play Game Pass service, including Yakuza 0 and Kingdom Hearts 3 for the Xbox One. And unfortunately for PC players, while Yakuza 0 will also be added for the PC service, Kingdom Hearts 3 will not.

Kingdom Hearts 3 and Yakuza 0 will drop on February 25 and 26 respectively. Xbox Game Pass will also add Ninja Gaiden 2 on February 20, Wasteland Remastered and Two Point Hospital on February 25 (both of which are also available on the PC Game pass), and Jackbox Party Pack 3 on February 27. Games exclusive to the PC Game Pass service, Reigns: Game Of Thrones and Indivisible, have unknown release dates as of this time.

Now Playing: Kingdom Hearts 3, Yakuza 0, & More Coming To Xbox Game Pass - GS News Update

Yakuza 0 is the first Yakuza game to arrive in Game Pass, and according to a press release, we should expect to see Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 also come to the service sometime early in 2020.

Other than Kingdom Hearts 3 coming to Game Pass, a whole bunch of other Kingdom Hearts games also arrived on the Xbox One recently. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 are now available digitally on the console. Though confusingly named, these are essentially bundled Kingdom Hearts games. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix includes Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 in their Final Mix editions, along with Re:Chain of Memories and Birth by Sleep Final Mix. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 includes three items: Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, and a movie, Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover.

This reveal follows Xbox's announcement for February games earlier in the month included Final Fantasy XV and Wolfenstein: Youngblood for Xbox One and PC. Xbox Game Pass for Xbox retails for $10 per month; the PC-only subscription also costs the same amount. You can get both, as well as access to Xbox Live Gold, for a discounted bundle price of $15 per month.

Ninja Gaiden 2 awesome. I only played Sigma 2 and always wanted to play Ninja Gaiden 2. Yakuza 0 is nice, I have Yakuza 0 on PS4.

I love using Game Pass like a PC rental service. So far I've regretted buying all of these $5-10 games from places like GoG on gameplay videos and reviews alone, and even then, most are afternoon rentals with no replay value. Game Pass makes it possible to avoid a lot of that.

It's 5the best of all the Yakuza games in most peoples eyes. The best place to start story wise for sure but most of the other games will seem a bit of a downgrade in some areas. Graphics and engine advances in Kiwami 1 and 2 but some smaller features are absent. Every main Yakuza game is a great game though so if you really like 0, you will probably really like them all.

@calinks: Loved Yakuza 0 on PS4 and even though I have the others in my backlog I've never played them. When they were announced for gampass I decided to play them on X1X instead.

Indivisible isn't exclusive to PC. It was already released on the console Game Pass.

For someone who hasn't played the Yakuza games, is Yakuza 0 the best place to start...chronologically?

@lionheartssj1: the best place to start is Yakuza 1, then play the others until 6, then play 0.

The series were created to be played like that.

Many people will say otherwise because it seems logic to start where the story begins, but I think there are many things in 0 that you’ll only understand and enjoy if you know what will happen in the future.

That is valid for pretty much any prequel that is released after its sequel.

That said, you are ok starting with 0, you will still enjoy the game as it is probably the best in the series, but there are some things you’ll only understand after you play the others.

@lionheartssj1:

0 is a great place to start if you never play any of the Yakuza games.

@lionheartssj1: Yes Yakuza 0 is a great place to start, and it's a big damn game, so expect to be there for a good 60 hours with minimal dabbling in the side attractions. Should you decide to 100% it, 140 hours easily.

@lionheartssj1: I feel for you, although the Yakuza series is very fun, if you're into Asian video game humor, and if you like watching subtitled movies. I actually jumped in the series playing Yakuza: Dead Souls on PS3, which is a much shorter title and doesn't require any prior knowledge of the series to play either.

@jsprunk: The clips that I've seen, especially of Majima, always looked very funny. Plus, I played Shenmue a lot back on the Dreamcast and these games always reminded me of that.

@lionheartssj1: It's a prequel to the very first game Yakuza Kiwami so it's a good place to start narrative wise, it has some better mechanics though so going from it to Kiwami<2<3<etc may feel like a downgrade as this game came out after 5.

@gamingdevil800: Thanks. Yea, I wasn't sure where the narrative would be best started from. So after Zero, go Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2, and then the rest in order?

@lionheartssj1: That is correct. Also, you can buy multiple games as a bundle, usually on sale. See links below.
