All this is on top of Grand Theft Auto 5 on Xbox One.

Microsoft has announced another slate of Xbox Game Pass games coming to the PC and console versions of the service through mid-January. The lineup includes two more Xbox One games, one PC game, and one cross-platform. As usual, Game Pass Ultimate members get access to both libraries.

On console, subscribers can get Frostpunk and Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet on January 9, and then Tekken 7 on January 16. Frostpunk is also listed as "coming soon" to PC, possibly on the same date. Game Pass for PC subscribers will also get FTL: Faster Than Light.

Microsoft notes these are on top of the recent surprise-release of GTA 5 on Game Pass for Xbox One. That will let you jump into the campaign or play the popular GTA Online mode, which recently got a big update in the form of the Diamond Casino Heist. The subscription also entitles you to some discounts on in-game DLC.

Game Pass operates as two separate subscription services, one for Xbox One and another for PC, each with their own separate libraries. You can access both with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which also includes Xbox Live Gold.

Xbox Game Pass - January

  • Frostpunk (PC/Xbox One)
  • Sword Art: Fatal Bullet (Xbox One)
  • Tekken 7 (Xbox One)
  • FTL: Faster Than Light (PC)

Frostpunk is good; got about a dozen hours out of it on Steam.

FTL is fantastic, and I keep it installed on the laptop.

So far they've been giving me discount deals whenever my subscription gets low, I haven't actually ever paid more than $5 a month for the ultimate pass. But I don't own a console so if they ever want me to actually pay for this service they better start doing better than that for PC. Come on, FTL is great but it's an antique by now and it's only a frickin' $10 game in the first place. You can't add only a single ancient indie game a month and be taken seriously, not by me at any rate.

@darthcourteous: If you own a gaming PC, you're obviously not poor. Just buy an XBone already.

@darthcourteous: If you just own a pc, just take the standard gamepass instead of ultimate...it's like 4$/month.

@darthcourteous: The service literally just started in June last year and you're complaining because you can't find a game out of the 177 PC titles they have so far lol.

@darthcourteous: Yeah, PC side is pretty weak... but it's still in Beta. Gamepass on console was pretty shit for the first year too. Hopefully it improves. - Price is good thou. (ultimate)
