Xbox Is Making Sure That You Know Metal Gear, Marathon, And More Are Coming To Xbox, Too

So apparently Sony has a bunch of other projects in the works and they're all close to being ready, but for some reason Sony didn't bother showing any of these games. The insiders who suggested this are kind of confused as to why they wouldn't. I'm guessing it's because they'd rather show these games closer to the fall.

I have the consoles and luckily I can play on GP for windows as I hardly power up my consoles and unluckily Sony has no Sub for Windows so I am missing a lot of programs for them and I do not mind. I also buy my games on Steam as well.

Yes yes. By now we are all fully aware when PS shows games they will completely omit other platforms to make it look like it's PS Only, and we have to rely on outside information.

The only games I found interesting from the show were Alan Wake 2 and Spider-Man 2 and Alan Wake is multiplat. The rest were Indie games, the 500th iteration of some franchise or games that had too much of that Destiny feel to them or an obvious ripoff of another franchise. Not expecting much better from Microsoft either. The new generation of gamers will buy anything, just keep those cookie cutters nice and sharp.

Sony's show was such a disaster. Imagine hyping it as your first over an hour show in a year. An event that is supposed to show us the future of PS, and all you show us are shitty indie titles that could've ran on a 360 and multiplats. WTF is that, Jim Ryan?

xbox like, hey guys we may be failures, but don't forget about us, we still count for 1 or 2.of your sales, and plus, if you subscribe to us, we will give it to the consumer for free.

On one hand, I really appreciate the fact that whenever a game comes to Xbox nowadays, it usually guarantees it's also coming to PC. It's a very good thing. But on the other hand, it means that if Sony can't secure exclusives, then there's no reason whatsoever for consoles to exist, outside of convenience. Maybe this is a good thing for everyone in the end, but I love a good console gen. It gives gaming flavor and identity. PC is eternal, but it comes at a cost, and I'm not talking about money.

I'd be prepared to buy any console with a rock solid variety of genre-defining exclusives at any given time. I'd easily buy two competing consoles if their games were the best of the best.

But when both consoles have pretty much the exact same games, the exclusives are either derivative or bad, the good games are on PC too, and Nintendo is drunk over there... why spend all that money on paperweights? There's just no incentive to buy into a platform like that. And maybe that's okay.

If it's smarter for them to release games on PC since it means more sales anyway, maybe there's no real downside for the players. But consoles truly competing against one another has given us some of the most iconic games ever made. The easiest and most obvious example would probably be Sonic being born entirely as a response to Mario, but you can apply this principle to anything successful. Uncharted as a response to Gears of War was a more recent one. I haven't really felt that level of competitive energy for a while. Maybe they're all still cooking.

I think the PS5 has so much potential spec-wise for good games, with the SSD stuff eliminating load times. But they're taking so long making games for it, that by the time they have a library of games worth getting the console specifically for, it'll be time for a new hardware refresh. Which to be fair, isn't necessarily a bad thing. I did wait for the PS3 Slim.

Yeah, well that's not news to anyone. I didn't see any MS style full screen CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE placards before any of these games and we already knew Bungie were releasing their stuff multi-plat even after the aquistion.

this is nothing new everyone does it yes even microsoft they constantly leave out the ps and nintendo logo why would any of them advertise for the competition this is just trying to make a big deal out of nothing

Back to topic...yeah,85% of the PS show was multiplat.
Usually Sony could get good exclusive deals when their 1st party line up was sparse to "bridge" a certain period.

Eh, i shouldnt rise my expectation regarding the Xbox show too much either even if Xbox has an amazing chance to outshine the PS show.

So they wait for Sony to release trailers and then announce that they are coming out for Wicrosoft xbox also. Hopefully they have a show of their own with some new stuff to show us, that is what they are doing in the first place, making video games...right lul.

Well, I truly hope that MS comes out with some very compelling 9th gen exclusives sooner then later, and really increases their hardware install base. Also a M.2 slot added to the machine for non proprietary storage.

I really want to see a much stronger amount of competition this 9th gen. Sony's tie in ratio (software to hardware sales) is still incredible. This really moves and dominates the industry for the hobby we love called gaming.

Honestly, the console part of the gaming industry has gotten so large and multinational, that we should have three strong competitors- maybe even four- battling it out in the console platform space. This strong competition over the years, has brought us so many great games, and great consoles, for every platform including pc.

With the gaming industry getting bigger then movies, music, and tv combined... we the gamers, should have more competitors for our dollars then we do. I love Sony, I love MS, and Nin... I just want to see them fighting to the death, creating great games all the time.

They're a business, I would do the same thing.

Microsoft should abandon the purchase of Acti-Blizz and work on supporting the game devs it already has under its wing. Apparently they're still struggling, but maybe with the right kind of support they can produce some good games yet this gen.

This was especially funny to me because of how many Xbox fanboys were bashing the show, and then this came out. You're getting these "terrible" games too lol.
