No Caption Provided It's a bustling week on Xbox Live, as an updated version of Ubisoft's 2003 adventure game hits the Xbox Live Arcade this week alongside new downloadable content for Fable III and Dead Space 2, a slew of Games on Demand entries, and demos for two new sports games.

Leading the pack this week is Ubisoft's Beyond Good & Evil HD (800 MS points, or $10). The third game of Microsoft's five-title House Party promotion, Beyond Good & Evil HD features 1080p graphics, including enhanced character models and upgraded textures, and Ubisoft has also remastered the game's musical score. The game is due out on Wednesday.

Gamers looking to add content to the latest Fable game can grab the Traitor's Keep DLC (560 MS points, or $7) for Fable III today from Xbox Live. Traitor's Keep features three new levels--Ravenscar Keep, Clockwork Island, and the Godwin Estate--each of which offers new quests to undertake.

Another batch of add-on content now available is the Severed DLC (560 MS points, or $7) for Dead Space 2. A downloadable add-on featuring characters from Dead Space: Extraction, Severed includes two stand-alone single-player chapters. The expansion drops players into the role of Gabe Weller, a security guard in the necromorph-infested Sprawl, as he escorts Lexine Murdock to safety. Weller is equipped with an upgraded pulse rifle and security suit, both of which will come in handy when faced with the returning Twitcher, which fans may remember from the original Dead Space.

Out now on the Games on Demand hub are four new titles, the first of which is Metro 2033 ($50). The game depicts a near-future Earth where human civilization was obliterated by an apocalyptic tragedy in 2013. With the planet's surface now an inhospitable wasteland, humanity's few survivors have taken shelter in Moscow's labyrinthine underground subway system.

Also out on the full-game download space is Far Cry Instincts Predator ($20). The title contains two games: the original Far Cry Instincts, as well as Predator content. The game puts players into the boots of Jack Carver, who is stranded on an island inhabited with mercenaries, pirates, and other angry inhabitants.

Gamers looking for something less violent via Games on Demand can pick up Open Season ($20). The game sees players taking on the role of both Boog and Elliot, as they follow the film's storyline. The characters use the land and its inhabitants to their advantage, with skunk bombs, acorn-chucking squirrels, and wascally wabbits. Friends will also be able to compete against each other with minigames that support up to four players.

The last game out in the Games on Demand virtual marketplace this week is The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon ($20). In the game, the titular purple dragon faces off against the nefarious Dark Master in a final showdown, allying with former adversary Cynder in the process. The series adds two new play mechanics: Spyro can now take to the sky at will, and players can now take advantage of two-player co-op as either Spyro or Cynder in the game's single-player mode.

Gamers looking to try before they buy can download two new sports game demos today, the first of which is for 2K Czech's Top Spin 4. The tennis game--due out in full March 15--is a licensed title and feature the likenesses of 25 tennis stars, including Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, Rafael Nadal, Ana Ivanovic, Pete Sampras, James Black, Jelena Jankovic, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Caroline Wozniacki.

The other sports game demo out now is for the Roy Halladay-fronted MLB 2K11. 2K's latest baseball sim, MLB 2K11 is in development at 2K Sports' Visual Concepts studio, which also handles the publisher's NBA sim franchise. Gamers can use the demo as practice because when the game is released on March 8, the first gamer to record and submit an authentic perfect game will win $1,000,000.

Enhanced character models, upgraded textures, HD and remastering of the awesome musical score.. Man its going to be nice replaying the most memorable game I ever played all over again (: Worth it for $10 for me. And even more worth it to someone who didn't play it before. ..But uh.. Why is Spyro: Dawn of the dragon $20?

@Io_ACE_oI I agree. I was excited at first about downloaded games, but the pricing for these games is outrageous. I guess I'll just have to buy the physical discs till someone gets their head on straight.

@thermalcold I love my Xbox and everything but I fully agree with you. Same goes for Red Dead that was just release for On-Demand $40. Really, you can go on Ebay and buy these games for half the cost. I boycott all the On-Demand games because they are always over priced.

I don't understand the pricing for downloadable games. You would think that eliminating the middleman-paying people to package, process and make the discs, and ship the games to stores would be CHEAPER. But somehow, after a quick search on ebgames.com, the prices for the games can be TWICE of what you can pick up (the physical disc) at a brick and mortar store. How is this possible???????? Far Cry is $10 and Metro 2033 can be had for $33! I am not going to buy any games on-demand store on XBLA when they are disgustingly so expensive! What are these people thinking??!!?!? And don't get me started on "buying" clothes for your avatar, either....

BG&E on PS2 is EDTV (480p) compatible - because I still have PS2 game i'm not sure if I will bother with X360 ver. - although i'm sure it will look even more awesome in true 1080pHD

I wanted to download Beyond Good & Evil yesterday, but it wasn't available yet. I already own the game for my XBox, but it's not b/c with the XBox 360. The fact that it's only $10 with 1080p HD upgrade makes it worth it for me. I'm not paying full price for any of that other crap. $20 for Spyro? Are they kidding me? I will download Top Spin 4 and MLB 2K11 and give them a try. Fight Night Champions is out today. Pick it up people. This is one EA game that I actually like. Dead Space series is good also. I have even started Fable 3 yet, so don't think I'll be getting the DLC. So many great games coming out this Spring. It's driving me and my wallet crazy.

All sorts of great things this week! Beyond Good & Evil HD, Dead Space DLC, and then a reminder I need to pick up Metro 2033 used, because I can get it for $20 cheaper than this GoD price...

Good marketing ploy for the games on demand. Parents would rather pay an extra 30 bucks for an instant babysitter than have to drive and pack the little bastards in the car. Microsoft is ingenious and that is why they lead the gaming industry, well besides Nintendo.

I totally agree with those complaining about the odd pricing of the Games on Demand.....charging anywhere near MSRP or the price the game is currently going for is insane. Buying the game on demand should always cost less, as there is no physical disc to create manufacturing and distribution costs. Also games on demand penalize you by eating up your hard drive space....who would pay 50 or 60 bucks for Modern Warfare 2 when (A) they could get it for much cheaper in physical form and (B) that version takes up hardly any hard drive space?

I missed out on Beyond Good & Evil the first time around, it won't happen again. Add on the fact that it's now in HD with achievements at a nice $10. Can't really argue with that.

Looking forward to being able to play BG&E for the first time. The Fable III DLC is a definite purchase as well. One thing bugs me though: the price for Metro 2033. I may be mistaken, but I don't believe that game sold very well initially, at least on console. $50 is a bit much. Reminds me of Modern Warfare 2 and its asking price of $60, which is ridiculous. I really like it, but it ain't worth the full MSRP on a digital download service 2 years after its released.
