Xbox One Boss on Halo 5 -- "Nice to See Halo Multiplayer Doing So Well Again"
After Master Chief Collection's issues, Phil Spencer says he's proud of how Halo 5 launched.
A year ago this month, Halo: The Master Chief Collection launched on Xbox One and struggled mightily out of the gate with widespread server and connectivity issues. Microsoft apologized repeatedly for these problems, ultimately labeling the game a "black eye" for developer 343 Industries. Things are going much better with Halo 5: Guardians, as no major problems have been reported since launch on October 27.

Now, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has spoken out on Twitter to say that it's "nice to see Halo multiplayer doing so well again." He doesn't mention The Master Chief Collection by name, however.
Microsoft also announced this week that Halo 5 generated $400 million in revenue from game and hardware sales, helping it become the biggest Halo launch in history. The game was also the most-played title on Xbox Live during its launch week. Spencer said that's the statistic he was "most proud of."
Spencer previously said The Master Chief Collection's issues "hit [343] in the heart" and said he was confident that Halo 5 would enjoy a smooth launch.
