Wildcard is a new company staffed by "veteran" designers, though it's unclear what games the team worked on previously. Whatever the case, the studio says many of its team members have been inspired by popular dinosaur movies like The Land Before Time, Dinotopia, and Jurassic Park.
The team has major ambitions for Survival Evolved, saying it hopes the game can be "one of the most ambitious hardcore large-scale survival experiences ever devised."
The PC version of Survival Evolved is slated to launch in full during summer 2016, though a release window for the console editions has not been announced.
Survival Evolved runs on Unreal Engine 4, and Wildcard says the footage in the new trailer is taken from "live online gameplay." The game will also support mods on PC, Wildcard explained on Facebook.
