Xbox One X Fallout 76 Bundles Going At A Discount In The US

Deals. Deals never change.

If you're in the market for an Xbox One X, now is a good time to buy. GameStop is offering all of its Fallout 76 bundles for $100 off, including the store-exclusive white model. That matches some of the lowest prices we've seen, including for Black Friday, even without a game.

Each of the Fallout 76 models at GameStop are priced at $400. That includes the 1 TB bundle with the game, and two different versions of the white console: one with the physical disc, and another with a digital copy. That bundle was exclusive to the retailer, giving you options for which neutral color you want to match with your decor.

Now Playing: Fallout 76 Review

Usually the Xbox One X goes for $500, and some discounts during the holiday season reduced it by $70-100, usually with some store extras like Kohl's Cash. If you're shopping for a system in general, Microsoft recently announced new Division 2 and Anthem Xbox One bundles.

Fallout 76 has had a rocky start. It received low review scores at launch, and then Bethesda was criticized for its advertisements about a special edition canvas bag that was switched for a nylon one. In its attempt to send the canvas bags as a make-good, it leaked personal data. More recently, a bug temporarily disabled nukes, and a series of patches had unintended consequences.

Still, Bethesda has consistently stated its plans to continue supporting the game, having announced upcoming features like a new mode without PvP restrictions and player shops.

"Bethesda has stated it intends to continue supporting the game for a long time, but at launch, Fallout 76 is a poor experience," critic Edmond Tran wrote in GameSpot's review. "There are echoes of the series' admirable qualities, but look past that facade, past the cute Vault Boy animations, past the familiar radio tracks, and you'll find no heart--just an inconsequential wasteland doomed to be nuked over and over again."

If you want to play an actually fun post apocalyptic online survival exploration game with base building then Miscreated is what you want. It's amazingly detailed, has great atmosphere, and feels like something right out of Fallout. Amazing fun!

It's on Steam

$500 seems a little high to me for that. Maybe if they paid me $500 to take it off their hands I'd consider that bundle.

Pass.

I give Microsoft credit for having bundles available - unlike Sony, which only seems to release limited run bundles - but you can't pay me $100 to take a copy of Fallout 76 off your hands. Now, if they do a similarly priced bundle for, say, The Division 2 or Metro Exodus - taking advantage of the those games, on PC, not being available on Steam - then I might actually buy an Xbox this generation.

If you're in the market, try to find a bundle with ANY other game. Seriously, even if it's LEGO Incredibles. 76 is a train wreck.

How is $400 for a 5 year old console "cheap"???

I might pay 149.99 for an Xbox One to play the Halo games again, but being Xbox doesn't have exclusives other than that and Gears, I see no point in paying for an XB1.

In Germany they are practically giving it away bundling it with used controllers or Xbox X 76 bundle itself. I honestly cant remember if thats happened to any AAA game before.

I'd hazard a guess that a trade-in would knock another $100 off of that price, too.

I'd rather have a core unit than have Fallout '76.

So the rumors might be true... Fallout 76 going to be a F2P model!

That game surpassed Fallout 3 and 4 combined when its about bugs and glitches

@sladakrobot: Agreed. We're going to refer to F76 as "the" game that epitomozed an incomplete, buggy AAA release, the same way we refer to EA SWBF2 as "the" game that defined broken P2W loot boxes.

It in no way defined p2w loot boxes, they have existed long before that game in many MMO's and TF2.

@Bread_or_Decide: No Man's Sky was "the" game that epitomized gaming's harmful "hype culture."

@Bread_or_Decide: To be fair NMS wasn't a AAA game and wasn't all that buggy. It just wasn't the game it was showcased to be.
