Xbox One X Pre-Order Sales Outpace Any Previous Xbox, Microsoft Says

When they massively under supply and then call it the fastest sell out in history...well that's just a lie...I live in a city of just under 500,000 people....we have 5 gamestops in this city...I called each one and asked if they had pre orders available on the day of release...,each store was of course sold out...so I asked how many units did they get for pre orders? The store with the most units had 15 and the store with the least had 6 for a total of 38 units available for pre order to a population of 500,000 people....thank you Microsoft for allowing approx 1 in every 13k people to have one of these fancy new machines your selling....keep telling us how fast every store is selling out of their 10 or so units they are allowed to sell...while calling it the fastest sellout in history. When your done falsely representing the supply of these consoles...if you could be so kind as to release a reasonable amount of units to cities based on population that might be in demand....that would be greatly appreciated...thank you

This is a good thing. The last thing we need is Sony becoming a monopoly for HD platforms.

I still have to laugh at the platform fanboy fighting. It is just so juvenile. Anytime a platform does well, even if it is not one you play on, it is good for ALL gamers.

Competition spurs on better games and better platforms, and tends to keep prices down. If you play on something other than an Xbox why get your panty's in a bunch over this? Are your lives so meaningless that it hinges around the perceived value of the platform you play games on?

Only consoles i own are playstation and switch not really in the market for an xbox one these days sold my own when they announced all games coming to PC since thats my main platform.

But seriously congrats on the XoneX It's impressive for what it is and lets hope it does well =) competition is always great and will push Sony to do better just like Sony have done to microsoft.

Do wish we could do away with all this fanboy BS though uggghhhh it gets tiring listening to all these tweens argue whos plastic box is better =/ who cares we are all here because were gamers so just have fun with what you have =)

So MS starts this gen with Don mattricks xbox which I agree was a bad vision for gamers. Brings in Phil Spencers vision and totally turns around the xbox brand before the gen was over! Next they show the gaming industry that going forward we are dedicated to gaming by creating the xbox one x. It's takes a lot of guts to admit where your wrong and actually put in the the effort to fix the problem. See what a lot of you don't get is that the xbox one x is not about sales, but the revival of the xbox brand. MS fixed a lot of what gamers were complaining about, but yet people are still not happy. Goes to show that most of you are not true gamers! It's not about xbox to you guys...you just hate Microsoft the company...

Sadly there's no killer app for the Xbox One X. Forza isn't a killer app its a bottom of the barrel game at best. Killing Floor 2 a game that uses UE3 (an ancient engine at this point) couldn't even achieve 60fps.

MS fanboys still making excuses lol keep ignoring the facy MS hasnt released crap all year, and they're coming off a pretty poor last year lol. Say all the irrelevant bullcrap unfactual mess you want about Sony there fans actually get games worth paying for the hardware. Hopefully MS actually gets some games in soon cause its been terrible this year i mean i can't remember a year this bad for any of the big 3 ever js.

The truth is everyone bitches about MS having no exclusives but guess what it will blow you away, you ready? The greatest games out there are multiplat games!! Yes really! The Witcher 3, fallout new vegas, shadow of mordor, battlefield, deus ex, borderlands. These games are better than Halo, than Uncharted! Im a ms fan boy so anytime i can play these games with better framerate and graphics i am looking forward to it and sonys network is inferior that's why people will buy this for the more immersed experience and on xbox live.

I just realized the wording here... "It sold out faster than any previous Xbox"... That sounds great, but think about the previous Xboxes... They probably had 4 times any many units available to pre-order. MS said they didn't expect this to sell much, so they probably didn't have many pre-orders available. Just a thought since no numbers are ever present.
