Xbox's E3 2018 Fan Events And Livestream Plans Detailed

You can win a chance to attend Microsoft's E3 2018 briefing.

Gaming's annual extravaganza E3 is quickly approaching, and a number of publishers have begun announcing the dates and times of their conferences for the big event. Microsoft has already outlined its plans for this year's expo, and now the company has shared further details about what Xbox fans can expect from its E3 2018 showing.

Unlike previous years, Microsoft will not have a presence inside the Los Angeles Convention Center, where E3 is traditionally held. Rather, the company is "taking over" the nearby Microsoft Theater, which will be the venue of all its livestreams, fan events, and hands-on demos for this year's show.

Now Playing: Xbox's E3 2018 Plans And Fan Events Further Detailed - GS News Update

Before the expo proper begins, Microsoft will host its annual E3 press conference on Sunday, June 10, at 1 PM PT. On Major Nelson's blog, Microsoft said this year's briefing will offer everything from "in-depth looks at previously-announced games to trailers for our unannounced titles coming in 2018 and beyond," although it hasn't teased which titles will be discussed.

The press conference can be streamed on the Xbox Mixer channel or via the Mixer app for Xbox One and Windows 10. Fans will also be able to watch it live at Microsoft Stores or through additional streaming services, which will be announced closer to the event.

The following day, Microsoft will broadcast the first E3 edition of its show, Inside Xbox. That airs on Monday, June 11, at 3 PM PT and will feature "exclusive announcements, game demos, interviews, giveaways, and more." Additional streams will be broadcast on Mixer every day of the show; the full schedule of those will be shared "soon."

Microsoft will also once again host its FanFest event during E3. Fans can register for a chance to win tickets to the show on the official Xbox website. 400 people will be chosen to attend the FanFest event from June 10-11, while 1,000 will have a chance to win the new Xbox Briefing-Only Fan Tickets. Regardless of which ticket you win, you will be able to attend Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference in person. You can find more details about the FanFest event on Major Nelson's blog.

Well, I have both the x1x and ps4 pro. To be honest, Gears 4 looks great in 4k. But it's the same game from 10 years ago. I'm not into racing games, so forza means nothing to me. I have really enjoyed Sunset overdrive and also Dead rising 3, when it came out. However, that's all I liked. Halo is nothing special to me and I only play fps on my pc. However, my ps4 had a lot of work. From Uncharted 4 and dlc, Horizon, Ratchet and Clank, Bloodborne, Until dawn, Infamous were all amazing games in my eyes. I'm not a fan of the last guardian or shadow of the collouss, although I own them both. And today when I get home from work, I already have God of war preloaded.

Xbox has to get some diversity in it's library. Get new ip's, not just sequels. I never played Ori, cuz it ain't my cup of tea. But they need to make something happen and it has to happen soon. My x1x is gathering dust.

I can't wait for MS's E3! Now that the Xbox One X is out. We better looking games! the people who says. POWER don't matter. Is NOT fooling nobody! Here some FACTS:

1. Both the PS4 and PS4 Pro has a better GPU than the Xbox One/S!

2. If POWER don't matter. Why the PS4 Pro was made? It was also the FRIST mid-gen re-fresh console outta the gate! Don't give me that crap. Oh! It was for PSVR. LOL! Why can developers use its POWER outside of the PSVR games?

3. Xbox One X is the POWERFUL current console out.

God of War, HZD, Spider-Man, and The Last of US re-master LOOKS amazingly great! It takes both TELENT & POWER to make those games. Now! Since POWER is here with the Xbox One X. Its time MS start hiring the TELENT and make new 1st party developers too! 343i has started to do. I can't wait for MS's E3!

"a console that hasn't helped them to catch up-to the competition" Yet is outselling PS4 Pro, and has tons of better features, including True 4k (something you may know what is if you only have a PS4/Pro LOL) Backwards Compatibility Enhanced to 4k, and many more... - No Backwards Compatibility (Sony makes you pay for remasters and compilations full price)

- (on the above) It was discovered PS4 has an internal PS2 emulator. Yet Sony doesn't let you use it (you cannot just insert PS2 discs) ...they charge you for the games instead.

- Cheap Gamepad Materal (feels like those cheap chinese-made generic PC gamepads)

- The Analogue Stick rubbers get screwed easily

- Gamepad charge, too short battery

- Several (often) game crashes (Error ce-34878-0) something that has not been fixed in several Software Updates.

- Makes noise as a jet, heats as an oven.

- Bad anti-consumer policies. (check the latest privacy policy)

- (on the above) I purchased DLC car packs for Driveclub on the PS Store. But never got them in the game, because the Driveclub servers are permanently down. Contacted Support... never got resolved or the money refunded.

- Paid PS Plus to recieve a deficient online service. PSN goes down almost every week. It transcended that the world FIFA 18 tournament for PS4 held in Barcelona earlier this year could not be completed due to PSN network outages... They resolved the problem by finishing the tournament finals on Xbox one instead... (anything more humiliating than that?)

- And the list goes on... but I consider that enough to write.

@michellebennet: More than half of the defects you said are true for Xbox also. In regards to backwards compatibility, it is very obvious that no-one really cares about it, ever since it was announced by Microsoft for the Xbox, you didn't see a tremendous growth in sales or soo. Game crashes? The freaking UI on the Xbox hangs is as slow as a grandma. What you smoking there?

- Xbox one Gamepad is of excellent Quality. Analogue Sticks are not made of rubber. and the material is high quality

- I have never experienced an issue online. Except when my own home modem has an issue. Not the Xbox live.

- I have never experienced a game crash.

- My Xbox one X heat is almost non-existent. And noise... I have to mute the TV and put my ear straight next to the console to hear any noise.

- MS has digital refunds. Early Access. GamePass. Play Anywhere (with cross-buy, cross-save) and many other pro-consumer policies.

And about "backwards compatibility, it is very obvious that no-one really cares about it" yet you Sony fans have bought GOW3 remastered, The Last of US remastered, Uncharted Nathan Drake Trilogy... Hypocrisy where?

Unless you feel more satisfaction to pay for those games, Instead of Playing then straight from the Disc and enhanced to 4k for free.

"The freaking UI on the Xbox hangs is as slow as a grandma" I don't know if it did in the past, since Xbox one X is my only Xbox console, and Iit's UI is fully efficient now.

I will not say the original Xbox one was such a great console because it wasn't. But Xbox one X is.

PS4 outsold the Xbox One more than 2 to 1 in 2017, so I guess they were using the Trump flavor of alternative facts and "so much winning."

And going by the lineup this year bursting with high quality PS4 exclusives and not a single Xbox exclusive, I don't think anything is going to change, except perhaps the Switch sales eclipsing the Xbox One....

I did not say Microsoft won in sales of this generation. (Yet the Xbox one X is outselling the PS4 Pro)

The difference is PS4 has already shown the exclusives they will launch. (and I am still not interested in none of those, aside from GOW)

Microsoft will show it's Exclusives until E3 Conference.

But there are already names: Forza Horizon 4, Ori and the Will of Wisps, Fable 4, Perfect Dark, Halo 6, Banjo Kazooie Anniversary...

@michellebennet: You can say they "won" E3 all you want, but the reality is quite different. Those exclusives weren't exclusive, many weren't even good games when released, and they didn't drive growth to the platform. They didn't win, in fact, they lost not only to Sony but Nintendo as well. Predict them "winning" this year at your own peril.

Sea of Thieves, bad game as you want to call it, has sold 1 million already.

Last Month Xbox one had an Increase on sales of 108% in several European Countries. So I guess they actually helped.

And the best is yet to come later this year.

No it hasn't. 1 million players is not 1 million sales. If you look at the Twitch numbers the playerbase has already fallen off a cliff, likely when everyone's 14 day game pass ran out.

Pubg sold to bro shooter fans who already owned an Xbox, it definitely didn't get anyone to buy one since Pubg is better in every way on PC and runs like garbage on Xbox.

108% increase of a bad number is still a bad number.

@dlCHIEF58: It's an indication of playerbase, and that has evaporated. It also in this instance IS an indicator of sales, because of the game pass trial expiring mostly sussing out who bought it and who didn't. And apparently, most didn't.

@Thanatos2k: Sorry, but when I see stupidity posted I don't look at the date but have to reply. It is none of those things, all that it is an indication of is people aren't interested in watching it and streamers have moved on...as what happens with 90% of games or greater. Had you played the game, you'd know why it is not the best game to stream - long voyages aren't much to watch for enjoyment unless you just like to see the pretty water. It is in no way an indication of sales and is quite naive not to mention STUPID to think otherwise. But that is what your kind does, manufacture reasons to hate on a game, service or publisher/developer by inventing false equivalencies such as Twitch viewership.

for your reference:

Sega Genesis = 30.75 million

Nintendo 64 = 32.93 million

Super Nintendo (a Legendary console) = 49.10 million

The fact that PS4 is selling about 75 million, doesn't mean Xbox one is selling bad.

And guess what? PS4 is still behind PSP! 82 million and Xbox 360 84 million

And Xbox one is still above Switch 14.86 million

So don't get fooled by that stupid thing about "Xbox had bad sales"

- Footage for Fable (4)

- A new Perfect Dark Announced.

- Footage for Gears of War 5

Gran Turismo games have a 4 year window, unlike Halo and Gears of Crap.

God of War 4 is the 4th ! in the Series and was rated Fantastic with a 9/10 here at gamespot. The Fans will give it a 10/10.

Good Try Michelle keep playing Halo 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 every year on the " SUPER FAST XBOX X Zero ".

And I am not saying that having sequels is bad. Nintendo fans are happy with Nintendo releasing more marios and Zeldas and Pokemons over and over again.

The same as Xbox fans are waiting for Forza Horizon 4, Halo 6 and Gears of War 5.

If you don't like those franchises, that's your own problem.

Hopefully more info on Ori: Will of the Wisps, Below, along with Fable 4, Halo 6, and at least one new singplayer only AAA IP that they're dumping resources into to compete with some of Sonys be story driven IPs. Then of course other games but if they had those 4 things for sure it would be nice. Its nice they took a couple years away from Halo, I think they needed to do that, but right now they're other games aren't doing so well and I think halo will garner some needed focus and attention back to the Xbox
