An achievements update on Steam seems to suggest that more XCOM: Enemy Unknown content is on the way.

Can't say no to more XCOM:EU, can we?

It's about time they fix the bugs. This game is great, but not polished.

Game's broken. I wish they would fix all the bugs, add more maps and add more options such as non-American voices for the troops and more research options. Can't see any of that happening though.

@Thathanka I wouldn't say it was broken, it's still playable. The AI just likes to break the rules from time to time.

I agree with everything else you say though (also lazy animations, like having the same animation whether you're treating yourself of a team mate with a med spray) a couple more months of polish and extra content would have made this game incredible.

I am getting very impatient for some good XCOM DLC-- maybe some underwater action as an homage to Terror From The Deep?

More XCOM:EU will be welcome... was hoping for a stand-alone title with a bit more meat to its bones. Some base defense/assault options and such... more depth and replay value.

Oh well, more Enemy Unknown will do for now!

@EDFXNights I don't know, it feels WAY too soon for a full on sequel. An expansion pack that adds more features, more scenarios and fixes the remainder bugs and glitches would do more than okay for me.

@olegavi323 Haven't run into any negative gameplay bugs myself. Just the occasional bad camera angle during cutscenes.

@olegavi323 Severely? Hardly. It's very playable with only a few minor intermittent issues. We've all played far far worse.

@olegavi323 Actually there is same as in reviews fixing bugs= better appeal = more sales.

I think it's more so they had to pull a lot of the team to work on the new game coming out this month because they have remade it three times lol.

First it was a FPS, then it was a squad FPS, now it's a squad based 3rd person shooter lol.(people really didn't like the FPS idea)

@samsmithnz @OldKye Yeah I had read another one that said they helped quite a bit before the release here but can't remember what site it was on none the less my point was almost joking in it's original context but does sound like they offered support that changed the way the game was built by a fair amount(I can only assume they where helpful the other way as well since they are different company's).

I just find it kinda refreshing to know company's can work together to make a better product "Just because" some times is the only reason I brought it up.

Edit: Maybe the figured since they both are named XCOM that if one sold well the other could and would give them both a better chance at a sequel.

@OldKye Interesting, thanks for posting the link. My understanding, mostly from following the devs on Twitter, is that they talked and hang out, but no devs changed hands, just ideas.

@samsmithnz @OldKy Trying to find my original article but this one eludes to it http://www.heavy.com/games/2013/07/the-bureau-xcom-declassified-top-10-facts-you-need-to-know/

look at 9.

The help went the other way too a bit when Enemy Unknown was being made but because of the backlash The Bureau got they needed a lot of help(this shows with the squad commanding looking a lot like enemy unknown in many ways.) Since their game(Enemy unknown) came out already they had more dev's to spare.

Edit: In fact I didn't have a lot of interest in The Bureau until I found this out lol.

@OldKye Are you sure about this? Do you have a reference? XCOM Enemy Unknown was developed by Firaxis, The Bureau was developed by 2K Marlin. Completely separate companies, with a common publisher (2K).

@samsmithnz

Yes my point was because the Bureau was a FPS the XCOM Enemy Unknown dev team had a number of members pulled from XCOM Enemy Unknown to work on the Bureau(which was what I called a FPS in the first place)

And the Bureau was a FPS before it was called the Bureau in fact it was a FPS before XCOM Enemy Unknown. was announced it actually came first.

However redoing a game over and over takes time so it came out second.

So the whole point which you tried so hard to make far more confusing that whatever bad wording I chose at first(by arguing about the XCOM you detracted form my point)

XCOM Enemy Unknown Dev's were pulled to work on another game other then XCOM Enemy Unknown. Which may have effected patch's.

@OldKye I think we are all talking about the same thing, but you jumped back and forth a bit. to be clear, this article is about We are talking about XCOM Enemy Unknown. XCOM enemy unknown was never a FPS, that is the Bureau.

@GothikaGeist how many XCOM games are they making lol? If there are more then two that came out lately or another in the works I apologizes.

But otherwise if I comment in a article about XCOM: Enemy Unknown and say "the team" who made it who else could I be talking about lol.

And when I say they were pulled for the other XCOM coming out this month I was only aware of one The Bureau.

If people weren't so quick to correct everyone, as if it was their only function in life to make sure other people information and spelling are correct we wouldn't be having this talk....

@samsmithnz @OldKye They pulled a huge number of the XCOM: Enemy Unknown devs to make it what we wanted(cause they made a game people liked) look it up lol.

did you read my comment?
