You Can Preorder A Model Kit Based On Death Stranding 2's Magellan Vehicle

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach launches June 26, and we're already seeing a wave of official Death Stranding merch crop up. One of the coolest pieces is a plastic model kit for the DHV Magellan vehicle from the game. While the kit doesn't launch until October 2025, it's available to preorder now for $77 at Entertainment Earth and Big Bad Toy Store.

This is a 1/350-scale replica of the Magellan, and the finished model is roughly 8.5-inch long. The kit features moveable container pieces and comes with multiple accessories you can swap out on the finished model, including a crane, railgun, Gatling gun, and missile launcher pod. It also includes tampographed display stand featuring the ship's name, as well as a decal sheet for adding some extra details.

Beyond this new model kit, there are a few other pieces of Death Stranding merch that collectors can grab. The Figma figure of the first game's supernatural stalker, Clifford Unger, is a highly articulated collectible and a very good reason to own your very own little Mads Mikkelsen. It has realistic 3D paintwork and several accessories, and you can pick it up for $135. You can also grab Funko Pop figures of Sam Porter Bridges and Higgs Monoghan. Or if you want, you can always buy the big brother of the Magellan, the Metal Gear Rex from Metal Gear Solid.

Preorders for Death Stranding 2 will open up on March 17, and three editions of the game will be available to purchase. The standard edition of the PS5 exclusive is priced at $70, and there's a Digital Deluxe version with several in-game extras for you to download and two days early access. There'll also be a $230 Collector's Edition, which comes with art cards, a Dollman figurine, DLC, a letter from Hideo Kojima, a 15-inch statue of Magellan Man, patches, and a digital download key for the game.

You've still got time to check out the original Death Stranding ahead of the sequel's launch, and the best way to do so is with the Death Stranding: Director's Cut edition of the game. While physical PS5 copies are hard to track down, the PC version is available for $31.19 at Fanatical (was $40). The Death Stranding Cirector's Cut is a substantial expansion on the original release's content content, adding new missions, challenges, and helpful equipment to make the trek across a post-apocalyptic Earth less grueling. You can also pair this with the official Death Stranding art book, which is a lovely hardcover full of concept art from the game. Metal Gear Solid art director Yoji Shinkawa is featured prominently in this book alongside several other members of the Kojima Productions art team, and this 256-page collection of illustrations and paintings shows just how the haunted world of Death Stranding came to be.
