Ys Origin, the classic action-RPG, is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. Publisher Dotemu announced that the game would be available on the Nintendo eshop and physically through Limited Run Games.

Ys Origin follows knight Yunica Tovah and mage Hugo Fact searching for the goddesses that abandoned them. The game features combo-focused, arcade-paced combat with platforming and puzzle-solving.

It was recently announced that Ys IX: Monstrum Nox would be coming to Nintendo Switch in 2021, as well as PS4 and PC.

The definitive version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is currently available on Nintendo Switch, with a completely redone localization after the original version was heavily criticized.

I could see enjoying this game on the Switch far more than on the Xbox.

The Switch doesnt has achievements/trophies and i could just finish the game with the 2 main characters, unlock the 3rd and enjoy the story from his point of view(the best story)...and i could be done with the game and have fond memories.

Now,since i like to unlock achievements,Ys Origins became a tedious game where i need to play unnecesary challenges on all difficulties, play the story on 4 different difficulties, finish the game on the highest difficulty with each character etc etc.

I know,i know,noone is forcing me to...but still,i am sucker for stats 🤷‍♂️

Just wished i could go back in time and never bought the game for Xbox...but that also would mean i didnt support jrpgs for Xbox...oh man...i dont really know what i want 🤣
