Enix, creator of such hits as Dragon Quest, Act Raiser, and Soul Blazer for the Super Nintendo, released Yuke Yuke Troublemakers, its Nintendo 64 title in Japan this week.

Yuke Yuke Troublemakers marks the first 2-D side-scrolling platform game released for the Nintendo 64. Gamers play a female robot named Marina attempting to rescue the esteemed Professor Gumble; wits and button-pushing prowess being of paramount importance in this 2-D quest.

If the graphics look familiar, it's probably because Treasure, the team that developed Yuke Yuke, has done some of the very best side-scrolling games ever, including Gunstar Heroes, Contra III, and Castlevania IV. Take a look at the screenshots and video for Yuke Yuke Troublemakers.

Yuke Yuke will be released this October in the US by Nintendo; under the title Mischief Makers.
