Zampella clears up confusion about “the future of Titanfall” showcased at Austin launch event

“We did not sell [Titanfall] to [Microsoft].” it just made more business sense to sell the game on the console that generally has a little less then the other <rolls eyes>

I played the beta, it was fun but it had terrible matchmaking. I got into it the first night it was available on pc and already had max level 14 players in game and the team settin sucked too because I was parred with a mix level of teammates and against full level 14 players both times I tried to play. Was put off again with the same hit detection that is in battlefield.

In case anyone didn't play the beta, expect whisper type servers and client side hit detection. I had plenty of dropped hits with tons of hit markers in the beta. Titans feel cool though but the default Titan Lmg you get is pretty weak. The wall vaulting and stuff needs some tweaking since the walls you use in the mp are not flat surfaces to run on. Lastly the game rewards continued play so for those that have a life will be left in the dust.

On a lighter note. DARK SOULS II come out on, Tuesday, got my collectors edition pre-ordered, and payed off, and taking the rest of the week off!!!

The last time a multiplayer only game came out that generated this much hype, it was 1999 and the game was Counter-Strike. The only difference is CS was a free mod to Half-Life. When the retail version of CS came out, it was $29.99, and bundled Team Fortress, plus other extras. $59.99 for Titanfall, plus the costs of DLC or a season pass is excessive. I'll purchase it for my PC when it falls in line with multiplayer norms. Until then, let the Xbots buy it.

Seeing how once games travel to Microsoft land, they die. It's become a trend with Microsoft, they do a piss poor job of nurturing their IPs and developers. Ensemble? Knifed. Bungie? knifed. Peter Molyneux? Knifed. Rare? Knifed (in a sense, having become a cr4ppy Kinect studio).

Yeah, I wouldn't wish Microsoft on anyone.

Titanfall is a 6 vs 6 multiplayer only game that looks and plays amazing on a medium-end PC, 60 frames per second, whatever resolution you want. And it's way cheaper. Get the better deal, don't waste your money on the Xbox One version.

Just recently played Killzone (beautiful game). Comparing the 2 (imho), killzone looks better, but titan fall is a better game. it's far more intense, and engaging (while supplying a fresh spin on the fps genre/evolve looks to do the same). Game play for killzone is very good, as well the graphics for titan fall. I see a lot of bashing towards this game mainly due to the fact that it's another fps shooter (pc has tons of fps games, generic or otherwise), ps4 will have it's share as well (hell didn't killzone sell 2.1 mil copies??). Seems this is more about the dislike of ms, then the games... if Titan fall (example) was being released on on ps4 as well, then the hype would probably be accepted. I loved what the beta provided, and I am ready to get my collectors edition, and enjoy some great gaming....

@MateykoSlam Some PC gamers still play in 1080p? Update your rig, dude, 1080p is old. Its all about 1200p or 1440p
