Zone Of The Enders Fans Have A New Model Kit To Look Forward To

Bring the most powerful Zone of the Enders frame to life with these plastic model kits.

Zone of the Enders had some timeless designs appear throughout those games, and there's a new line of plastic model kits from Kotobukiya on the way. First up is the Aumaan Anubis, a strangely angular mech that comes with manipulator parts to change between its robotic and flight modes. Priced at $60 and releasing next year on April 30, there's also a sheet of decals that you can use to make the frame look more authentic after you finish building it.

There's also a second Anubis model kit available, with this featuring an even more faithful design and a selection of colors that make it look like a mechanized grim reaper. While it doesn't have a transforming gimmick, it does boast a great amount of articulation and cool accessories. This is being sold via Amazon Japan, so you're getting it straight from the manufacturer, and it includes free shipping to the US. In the game's lore, the Anubis was one of the most powerful Type-C Orbital Frames with a hound-like appearance influenced by the Egyptian god of death.

If you're looking for more video-inspired mecha model kits, Amazon also has several Armored Core model kits and figures to check out. Also manufactured by Kotobukiya, these feature highly detailed frames, stacks of weapons, and die-cast parts to make them feel satisfyingly hefty. One of the standout figures here is the Ayre, which is comprised of over 330 parts, a beautiful grey color scheme with red highlights, and it has an imposing presence. For something more classical, there's a plastic model kit of the Ambient, which has a leaner design and overhauled weapons for this new release.

We've also included a few of the Front Mission and Xenogears model kits, as those two game franchises put their own unique and fascinating spin on mechanical war machines.

Why are you calling Vic viper Aumann Anubis? Anubis is just Anubis. The mech you're calling Aumann Anubis is actually known as Vic Viper, which as actually an LEV rather than an orbital frame.
