A game in its own class..utterly brilliant ending to AC 2 series...filled with questions for the next series...
You start the game right after the end of Assassin Creed 2 with you in Ezio mind celebrating the victorious win against the Pope but sadly it didn't last long. To avoid spoilers you then wakes up as Desmond in a truck bound to a safeplace (can't say - spoiler :P) but I can say that you will be in Desmond character an awful lot of time in the game and it even end with him doing cool move and getting new intel and a clue of what the next series going to be like. So you will be able to see him jumping even doing a leap of faith as himself not as Ezio(cool). One step closer to becoming an assassin.
If you've played Assassin Creed before and I'm sure all of you have. The mechanic system is almost the same as Assassin Creed 2. But with a bit difference here and there (roughly around 10%) but you should be right at home if you enjoy Assassin Creed 2. There are more deeper sub missions and within most of the mission have a second objective for you to obtain a 100% sync of that mission. This doesn't actually disturbed your storyline so don't be afraid if you're lacking a 100% sync of a particular sequence.
I can't remember if AC 2 have cheats? But with Brotherhood unlocking a sequence with 100% sync gave you a cheat to help you during your replay but these cheat wouldn't allow you to further your storyline if you choose to use it thus making it only useable during a replay mode to help you achieve 100% of that particular memory.
If you are fond on collecting feathers then you can smile as there are 10more feathers that you could jump around looking for or you could do like I did by buying the location of it at your nearest painting shops(:P). And don't forget about the flags because there are 101flags for you to search for and these flags are scattered throughout Rome(even in the secret locations).
Now, unlike AC2 which have multiple maps throughout multiple regions in Brotherhood there's only one place and that is Rome. Bear in mind I did said this is not AC3 but more like AC 2.5 so for those who think this is another series think again. This is more of a closing chapter of Assassin Creed 2.
The graphics of this instalment looks more nicer and more refined although I think it is the same engine as the previous instalment but the developer have done a wonderful job on your companions AI although there will be some odd parts especially when they suddenly appearing out of nowhere to kill a target but it's more of a funny thing rather than a bug(for me atleast).
And another most notable thing that you will notice is (spoiler) at the start of the game when you are following Mario you could make him fall down from the roof by jumping infront of him. This will make him fall down and jump back up again but instead he use the quickest way to go to where he falls then jump back to the previous point and jump back again to the place where he just came from.(lol). Maybe it is a bug maybe it's not.
Unfortunately I don't have an internet access connecting to my Xbox360 thus I couldn't tell you how is the multiplayer system works but from what my friend told me about the multiplayer that it have their own storyline set like in the last instalment of Splinter Cell. And because it is the same developer so it isn't impossible of having 2 separate story altogether.
Conclusion is this is a must have game if you played Assassin Creed 1&2 and a great Christmas gift to yourself or to your family/friends. Like me I presented it to myself lol. Have fun playing it. It is well worth the money!
