Brotherhood is a full blown sequel!

User Rating: 8.5 | Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (Auditore Edition) X360
Best Assassin's Creed yet! These are the only games that I want to 100% and get all the achievement. Brotherhood does everything right and better than the first two but also a pinch of new features. I didnt really know what I was diving into when I bought this game. All I really knew was that it has this multi-player feature and "o yea, it has a single player too". When I popped it into my 360 I was excepting just a small single player campaign and multi-player to be flagship. Boy, was I wrong! Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a full blow sequel with a huge single player campaign. The game literally continues from where Assassin's Creed 2 leaves off, and instead of fighting Templars you are fighting some rival family who has taken over Rome and are giant dicks to the population. If you dont already know the idea behind Assassin's Creed, Im not going to tell you. Leave my website and go to amazon and pick up the first game. Brotherhood again features Ezio, who is tried of all this **** and decides to take a more aggressive stand and wants to start a rebelling in Rome. The whole game revolves Rome and the area is huge, from the busy city to the the country side, main and side quests will take you all over. The quests dont really change from the main Assassin's Creed formula, kill this target, follow this target without getting seen, etc. As for me they are still enjoyable and some can be a challenge. This one mission must have taken me over a hour, I had to kill this fat guy at a wild orgy without getting scene, but when I completed the mission I felt such a feeling of accomplishment. There is one new main feature that I enjoyed a lot, was the ability to recruit and use your assassins. You can send them out on missions all over Europe for them to gain experience and you to get money. Another use for your assassins is to assassinate targets of your picking, this makes those pesky assassination missions a lot easier. You can hid on some building and call your minions down on some sorry saps' ass. Another great feature is the ability to start counter combos, meaning that if I can successfully counter an enemy I can quickly do an instant kill of the next enemy and if you don't get hit during the combos you can put down a group of enemies pretty quick. This was one of my biggest problems was waiting around for enemies to attack so you can counter them. The only real problem I have with the game is I lose track of the story and characters, not only are the names extremely long Italian names but I get caught up chasing side missions and by the time I get to the main quest I forget what the hell is happening. I havent got a chance to play the multi-player because I have this thing where I have to finish the single player before I move on to the multi-player but now that Golden Sun: Dark Dawn has been released I have a new love until they re-patch the game. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves a world that has beautiful scenery, an amazing world where NPC act on their own, and a great combat system that keeps the game moving.
