Good improvements on the combat from AC2. Unique, nail-biting multi-player unseen in any game anywhere.

AC:B is pretty much AC2 with a few game-play improvements tacked on to it. The most noticeable change in game-play was undoubtedly the "execution streak" function. This made the game far too easy at times [killing 30 guards without taking a hit is kind of pushing it] but it rectified one of the problems that was faced in AC and AC2 - even the best players never felt like true combat masters. That said, the game suffers from a few painful glitches, like ending up under the city... somehow...
The story is executed somewhat lazily and is slightly shorter than AC2's. The game feels really as though it could have been simply an expansion - but it is much too big for that.

The multi-player is superb. I've never felt more afraid to walk anywhere in a game than out of my hiding spot next to my three "clones". It does, however, at times degenerate into mindless running about for fear of being knifed in the back by your pursuer before you can do so to your own target.

Overall a solid improvement on AC2 with a completely new take on multi-player. A few glitches detracted slightly from what was a terrific gaming experience.
