Our Favorite Assassin is back, and look he's bought some friends to the party.
Each episode in the Series has bought new gameplay elements and refines previous elements, this episodes brings a better fighting Mechanic, which makes the fighting more faster paced so your not waiting to decapitate your next victim. With the right violent mind you can perform kill streaks as high as your capable and multiple kills using a sword and your firearm at the same time.
As I mentioned earlier Ezio now has a few more of himself walking the streets of Roma, this is a completely new element brought to AC, allowing you to recruit people whose lives have been ruined by the Borgias rule, these recruits are not Assassins yet, by sending them out into Europe to complete Assignments and calling them into battle against unsuspecting Guards, over time these recruits will move up ranks and inevitably acquire better weapons and stronger Armour. Whilst the Assignments may level up your Assassins quickly, it does become a very (whats the word) repetitive action, and the
Customization of your Assassins is very lacking, as all Assassins more or less end up with the same Weapons and Armour. But as a Concept it is fantastic but like the improvement of the fighting and free-running between AC1 and AC2, all I can say is this will get nothing but better given the right time and the right changes, Recruiting and Training an Assassin will become more of a Luxury than a Chore.
Whilst the gear available to your Recruits may be limited, Ezio has enough Gear available in stores than he can shake a stick at, like multiple dye's to change the look of Ezio's clothes to a rather large Sheath which can carry that big bugger of an Axe which you knicked off some Brute's Mangled Corpse, but if you don't feel like fighting for your weapons then drop by at the Local Black Smith and pick a weapon to suit your personal style (Personally I'm a Dagger kind of Guy). There are 4 types of shop in AC Brotherhood, each one offering something to help you in your quest to become the Master Assassin you always dreamed of.
The Multiplayer of Assassins Creed Brotherhood, is a more than welcome Addition to the AC Universe and it fits in so well, whilst many games spend all their time on the Multiplayer and less on the offline, this isn't the case. As an addition this Online is entertaining and somewhat nerve wrecking. However here comes the criticism I have with the online, in a few words, "Its Repetitive" each game mode has the same target system, be it co-op or lone wolfing it, the online needs to be mixed up, it needs Races, setting Assassins the task of beating their competitors from one end of the map to another. Co-Op infiltration Missions, gaining access to the Vatican with your mates to Assassinate a Corrupt Vatican Official. So many extra game modes could be possible, but seeing as this is the Series first attempt at Online Multiplayer, Ubisoft can take Solace in the fact that they have started on the right foot, and that it can only get better from here.
In all Assassins Creed Brotherhood is a fantastic game, brought to life by a thrilling story, excellent gameplay mechanic and an addictive online, whilst I do not believe Assassins Creed Brotherhood to get Overall GOTY it deserves its place on the wall of Fame, and it would be a game I would never suggest you miss out on… "Get It, Play It, Love It"
