Woops!! I've killed another citizen by mistake!
Climbing walls , vanishing amongst crowds , dealing with pesky guards and calling out your shadowy side-kicks to bring justice from the shadows ( or rather , from the roof ) is perhaps something you wouldn't see too often in gaming.
However , before I start praising the game , I would first like to point out the... loose ends in the game.
Whilst the game does offer interesting challenges and missions in the Single Player campaign and the free-roaming side of the game does indeed bear much enjoyment , the game is lacking in "interesting and random" events occuring whilst the player is running about in "Free Roam Mode".
At the very most , you can pickpocket some unfortunate noble , or perhaps kill a guard or two to your liking , but otherwise , this side of the game really lacks appeal over time.
Another complaint of mine is the painful dual hidden blade system. It's cool to assassinate two people at the time , but it's NOT cool when you miss your mark most of the time so you assassinate only one guard in front of his buddy's face and it's EVEN LESS COOL to assassinate a citizen by mistake.
Moving on , what makes the game interesting is the missions. Yes , the missions and the challenges they have to offer.
Clearing the missions is in itself possible for any player , no matter how bad they are at Action games , but clearing it to meet the special requirements is in itself a different tale all together.
May it be the typical time-attack , or not get hitted through out an entire battle , this game have much to offer in that aspect , along with a series of interesting side-missions which can possibly be aided by weapons and armor you could purchase from the nearby blacksmiths and change to your liking.
However , sadly , once your a seasoned player , you might find the enemies found in the story mode little of a challenge , their moves are easy to read , their easy to dodge and fool not to mention that their having troubles leaping around the rooftops like you do ( What are they training these guards with? First time I'm hearing about a bunch of guards leaping from roof to roof after one assassin ) so here comes the Multiplayer content.
Think your a pro? Think again , there are many more players with equal skill , if not greater than yourself.
Offering a unique Multiplayer system , my only complaint is that they don't have a mode of which the players can outrightedly duel each other in combat , whilst only offering assassination missions with various accomplishment requirements in the game.
Though not without it's flaws , the challenges offered in the single-player campaign , along with the Multiplayer content and not to mention , the various weapons at your arsenal along with your very own gang ( *cough* I mean , your Brotherhood ) , this game is bound to keep you playing for months.
