User Rating: 9.5 | Assassin's Creed II X360
Assassins Creed II is all it was stakes up to be in my mind. With all games there is the pros and cons though which is in general how I approach my review.

Pros : More realistic AI, Free run is HARDER not everything is as level as the last game, a selection of weapons, armor, dyes to give yourself a new look and moves. Additional moves, such as disarming enemies, pistol assassinations, poison, smoke bombs. Smarter AI - they will seek you out. Dual assassinations. Able to run (and upgrade) your own Villa, at which I felt was limited (I'm sure the next installment they will take this to the next level.), the city feels VERY alive and organic as I'm sure you've already heard. The story line ending was untouchable and supported heavily by science (you'll see), it contained movie like quality. The game is filled with action packed movie moments but it sure to return you to the freedom of free roam after wards.

Cons : Some areas can be rather hard to navigate through, and your character often "drops" over the ledge when and hangs on in certain areas. Although climbing view points to gather information of the area is nice and all, its a very repeating task. The close up views of the characters showed the games graphic draw backs (only close up, otherwise the graphics are very nice). I felt that the family members of the main character remained to static during the story. The little sister wore the same dress for years... and the mother always in the same place, they dead ended with them. Sometimes the connections between the Assassin and his victim would be off, just a ugly visual. And lastly, a bug I found. I collected all the statues in the Villas and claimed my money - I paused the game shortly after and selected Abort mission by mistake - the 12,000 coins where taken from me and the statues remained collected (lost my money) not a big problem later down the road but it was a frustration I faced.

What I'd like to see in Assassins Creed III (That is, assuming it will be staged in older times such as the first and the second and not modern.)
Improved Villa functions, perhaps even having to defend your Villa against Templars, being able to fire and order guards for your Villas. Having a bow, or perhaps a crossbow. Being able to enter more buildings. Having additional options for income (you run a Villa there should be more options). Being able to sneak a bit more, for a assassin I feel limited sometimes in my abilities to approach subjects on the open rooftops. Perhaps ways to go prone and crawl; or a way to lure the subjects with noise or light would be interesting.

Enjoyed the game very much, couldn't put it down until I beat it. I look forward to more quality work such as this to come out.
