Assassin's Creed 2 is a major improvement to the first.
The platforming for the first Assassin's Creed was the best thing I've ever experienced in my life. And the experience carries on to the sequel, You'll encounter great delight jumping from rooftop to rooftop or climbing a building to get away from the templars. Honestly this is where the game shines, and one of the most awesome feelings are from pulling of a leap of faith into a pile of hay.
-Battles-
Whenever you get spotted or encounter a forced event, you'll have to go face to face with enemies, although it is a delight to send your sword thrusting through the enemy, it can become tedious. But of course performing an assassination on an unsuspecting enemy is a great feeling.
-Story-
The story to Assassin's Creed 2 is farther developed than the story in the first, for starters you still look into Desmond's ancestors past lives, but this time you tackle Ezio Auditore in his efforts to become an assassin. You'll spend most of the time playing as Ezio and hardly anytime playing as Desmond. But truly if you were disappointed by the first game's ending, you'll either love or hate the ending in this one, it truly messes with your mind.
-Improvements-
There was plenty of different things in this game than there was in the original, some examples are the variation of enemy types each with their own differences, oh and not to mention different weapons along with the double assassination blades. Plus free-running is a lot better tuned. And the characters are much more developed than the original.
-Overall-
Overall this is a truly great masterpiece, it fixes the faults of the original game and makes everything better in this sequel, you'll have great fun assassinating another target, and even the short (but fun) sequences like using Da Vinci's flying machine and other great things in this game make it worth buying.
-My Score-
Platforming: 10
Battles: 10
Story: 10
Overall Score: 10
