A game with true magnificence - much, much better than its predecessor!

User Rating: 9.5 | Assassin's Creed II X360
Thank God that a sequel was brought out! Assassin's Creed left me with a disappointing feel that the money wasn't well spent... Number two did completely the opposite! I adore this game, and the annoying, repetitive and downright boring story from the first one has been destroyed and reshaped into an imaginative, exciting and powerful quest for the Auditore family!

The game starts off with a major ties to its predecessor: Knights Templar, Desmond, Brotherhood, etc. Yet, it is all specially woven in to make it seem like a brand new experience... the game has new life in old stories that make them fascinating to hear and interact with, and many old faces appear, but in a different (and surprising) light.

After you manage to get back to another Animus (the Animus 2.0 to be precise), and I am not going to ruin how, Desmond connects with another ancestor: Ezio Auditore Di Firenze.

From the first point when you enter Renaissance Florence, to when you finish the game deep in the heart of Rome, you are kept engaged! I am amazed at how much I actually enjoyed this game, it was a true delight to play... whereas the first one seemed more of a drag to complete.

When I finally finished the game, I was left yearning for even more - and for a good reason: The game leaves us on a major cliffhanger, and this is done so flawlessly that I want to go and wait in line for the next one to be released. If you were slightly disappointed with the first game, then this one will change your view on the series as a whole, I couldn't be happier with what the writers, game designers etc. have managed to do with the ever changing universe of Assassin's Creed.
