This is by far the lesser of all Assassin's Creed episodes.

The epic settings of history and architecture that we are accustomed to are lost in the wood houses and forests (without any exotic wild life) of colonial times in middle-north America. Say goodbye to big names in history and meet the likes of Samuel Adams, if you know who he was you are as bored as I am. After hours of disappointment I realized that I was sabotaging my experience by expecting it to have the pixel luxuries of previous installments and decided it was best if I forgot I ever played it before and cleaned up my mind. Only then I had fun with very entertaining but short lived battles at sea (the only thing I enjoyed in the game). In order to say I finished every assassin's creed game I have as a rule that I must purchase every bank, every shop and all their contents. I did not once stand inside a shop on this game and do not even know where they are. The steps of the game economy were just awful boring and complicated just to make something unrewarding and pedestrian like a wood barrel. Why this game setting was considered "modern" time you will never be able to tell by the lack of culture and architecture since it was set in such a dull part of the world and its history.
If you are in the US please buy this game and later google the names of people you meet, as few of them are part of your history. If you are outside of the US skip this installment. It will bore you to death with tales of high treason that nobody including local folk care to know about.

P.S. Pretty please make an episode in ancient bagdad or china.
