About the game!

I absolutely love to play video games, specially ones with a good storyline and something thats set 100s of years in the past. Black flag is a really awesome game, as I like the games with the pretty backgrounds and scenery. That's the girl in me! :) The reason why this game is so cool is it takes place out in the west indies (Caribbean islands) and the water is that light blue, crystal water. You can sail to endless mystery islands and it looks like a dream! its almost like youre there and not in your room wishing you were there. The graphics are amazing, and when youre sailing your ship it looks so realistic!

Black Flag picks up on one of the most popular aspects of its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed 3, featuring much more detailed and involved sea battles, focusing on the exploration of the open sea as a major part of the storyline. Set during the 1700s where the seas were full of pirates and black beard was around!

The thing about this game is it doesnt really have much to do with the previous ones, you start of as a pirate and dont become an assassin till pretty much the end of the game although you do have the assassins outfit at the start when you have to kill an assassin and you take his clothes.

Taking place in the West Indies, the new game will traverse through 50 different Caribbean locations and a wide array of environments from rooftops, forests, underwater shipwrecks and wild jungles. A diving mode and full naval combat will also play a part, especially as players command their very own ship, the Jackdaw. When Ed isn’t sailing, he could be found in the three main urban locations of the Jamaican capital of Kingston, Cuba’s Havanna or the pirate haven Nassau.

the game attempts to stick to real world features but does feature notorious seafarers such as Blackbeard, Calico Jack and Charles Vane amongst its cast list, similar to the various appearances of Leonardo da Vinci in previous games.

The cities in the game are pretty forgettable. There’s just no ‘wow’ moment. Remember playing the first Assassin’s Creed and riding to Damascus for the first time? You approached the edge of a cliff on horse-back and suddenly there was the city, sprawling out below you in all its glory. Or what about visiting Venice in ACII for the first time? The hustle and bustle, the rivers, the performers – it was all mesmerizing. Even ACIII – coming in on the ship to Boston for the first time was a brilliant moment. Assassin’s Creed IV doesn’t have one of these moments, at least, not in relation to any urban landscape

Combat and stealth!

Stealth game-play needs a massive revamp too. Due to the fact that you can’t go prone, and imprecise movements, it is surprisingly hard to remain hidden – as you dash from one large bush to the other. Instead of fixing the mechanics, Ubisoft have simply tried to work around this by making enemy AI really, really stupid. A guard will helpfully forget he ever saw you as long as you break his line of sight, and he’ll simply stop chasing you. the combat and stealth (although it helps if youre a noobie) to me has gotten easier and easier as the games come out, a 6 year old could probably play the new assassins creed thats set to come out at the end of this year unless they make the combats and stealth a bit harder, combat was always easy throughout all the AC games but i think the stealth was a little harder in the first AC game, if you look past all this though, the game is still very good and is definitely something id play again, its te type of game you could play for hours on end! hopefully the stealth and combat is more challenging in assassins creed unity, guess we will just have to wait and see! :)
