Why is Gamespot giving it a 9?

I'm really surprised why is gamespot giving this game a 9, i've played it , same thing , very repetitive, the story isnt that interesting, putting a lady main character won't make us extra "nice" toward the game, the original story is kind of getting confusing, and the ending sucked, and they indicated more games to come, i honestly got bored most of the time, kept playing the main missions and ignored the sides wanted to get over with it because as i mentioned its not that interesting anymore. I wonder when will they end it or have an ending to it because since desmond died in the past games, it started going bad :)
