Bash Romans and save the day in this fantastic new Asterix & Obelix platformer.
The game's amazing gameplay makes the difference: not only you bash romans through your way, but you also trigger machines, bumpers, and elevators on your way to Ceasar's palace. The combat moves available are very good. There is a great variety of attacks you can use. And, you can unlock new combo attacks after winning a boss battle.
But the most noticeable feature of the game is the environment you play in. Each one of them, from the LuckSore to the pirate island, is full of details you will adore. But it's a pity that it happens on condition that your system is powerful enough to endure.
On the other hand, a great amount of time playing the game is spent in watching cutscenes, trying to find your way, and worst of all, you will have to wait for very long to go from one stage to an other, as you will have to walk, and not wait to be instantly transported there(as it usually happens). The game is not to be played by unpatient players.
Another big drawback is the repetitiveness of the game. Even the combat becomes boring, when the Romans stop you at least ten times and you have to beat them all, just to pass across. Some triggers or buttons are used in all the game, making it less exciting.
The graphics of XXL 2 are fabulus, while the music is another strong part of this game. But the voices are repetitive and concerning, and will play with your nerves.
The sequel of the popular XXL game is even greater: new visuals, new comnbat styles, new story, new environments. And all these make the game a must for everybody who enjoy platform games.
