Too much focus on whats not important.
User Rating: 7.5 | ATV Offroad Fury PS2
This game starts off pretty hard, because of the controls. It will take you about an hour to feel pretty confident in racing against your friends with the 2-player mode, or take on the main races, which really halts this game from achieving better quality. ATV Offroad Fury has some pretty good elements in the game, the inclusion of the freestyle mode really helps you tone your skills in the air, while it includes trick you can do mid-air you really don't have time to use them to their full potential, and when you do you get so much hang-time that upon landing you will just crash anyway. The main races are pretty easy, until you get towards the later races and the arena races, but if you jump into these races without learning the controls you will find out that the races are more challenging than they really are. One of the most unimportant features in the game seems to be the most toned, character customization is pretty straight-forward, with the absence of true customization, the suits they offer you can only be worn as a whole, so you can't change the pants or shirt of your player, sadly. The range of ATV's is pretty wide, but its relatively easy to figure out which is the best one, which doesn't let you cycle through the different quads throughout the game to find the best one. None-the-less, this game is fun, but the other entries in the series are more polished and have the inclusion of online game play, which will keep you playing the other games more than you would this one.
